Mon 20th Nov – Work From Home
Declan and Joe were working from home in Randwick in the morning, and I joined them by pestering them both. This mild irritation was further enhanced by the balcony construction that is happening in a languid and haphazard fashion on the apartment. Our balcony is now going to be tiled.
Declan: Declan went to Woomera today. He caught a plane from Sydney to Adelaide at 3pm, then a 50 seater flight to Olympic Park. Then he got picked up and driven to Woomera. He is there for a little under two weeks.
Walk: A bland meander around Queens Park. Bleak weather.
Weather: I have started my holiday, and NSW has simultaneously remembered about overcast and humid days.
Book: Rhys Nicholson – Dish. I did not enjoy this random assortment of ‘essays’ (blog posts). At the heart of my discontent was that I simply consume too much Rhys Nicholson content. I have seen him live, listened to many podcasts and now am reading the poorly edited book of all those stories. This morning I was reading one tale and thought, how pleasant, I haven’t heard this one before. Only to go on my walk around Queens Park and have it relayed in the latest Simply Marvellous instalment.
TV Show: Six Feet Under. When I turn the TV off, Binge keeps running the show in the background. So when I turn the TV back on, I am suddenly 4 seasons ahead of where I left it. Then I have to go back and guess what episode I was up to. Unfortunately I must have last been up to the final episode of Season One. When trying to jump back into that episode (I guess I was halfway?) there was a glitch with Binge. It thinks I had finished the episode, so it was at the end with the credits and then would autoplay Episode One of Season Two. And I couldn’t get in to rewind to where I was up to, it just kept taking me to the last second of credits and rolling me into Season Two. Binge and I repeated this fight three times. I gave up, and now in Season Two they keep referencing some car crash that seemed important but I have no idea what happened.

Hope Rhys doesn’t get wind of this blog. He will be heartbroken.
Maybe the friendly tech guy can fix the streaming glitch.
Starting to feel concerned that the blogger might lose my attention as they have resorted to heavy weather content on day three which feels a bit like padding out a story.
Hoping for a pick up in day four.
