Thurs 23rd Nov – Buffalo

Last modified date

A roadtrip to a Buffalo farm an hour outside of Coffs Harbour was a delightful exploration on a day heavy with low hanging cloud and persistent drizzle. The owner had the farm for the last 16 years, he was originally a boiler maker and his wife sold steel.

Wet walk around the block podcast: not a blog post after dissing Rhys and his lazily crafted book, he delivered exactly what I was after as I got slowly soaked walking around suburban sprawl in the afternoon. 15 minutes of discussion about Saltburn, where I could again relive how epic the trailer was.

Book: TimeLife Great Cities of the World – Bangkok. First 15 pages. There is no way I finish this book before my actual flight to Bangkok. I did find it comforting to learn Bangkok means “the Village of the Wild Plums”.

Learning to drive in my time off. And being grateful for my tetanus shot.
A lunch of, and among, Buffalo.
A perfect afternoon for a stroll.

  1. Very much enjoyed spending the day with Caitlin at the buffalo farm/cafe.

Wonder if the buffalo get stressed when looking up at the cafe.

We thought the car in the photo would be a great car for Caitlin to reacquaint herself with driving. If this was a house it would be glowing described as a ‘fixer upperer’ or ‘has amazing potential’ or ‘room to stamp your personal touch’.

I’m enjoying the quality of this blog.

  2. I would just like to say, what an outstanding comment. Blogs really thrive which such a dedicated community (/father). May your next roadtrip be as well documented as this one. Like and subscribe (via RSS feed).

  3. I liked the picture of Cait driving the car and the funny caption. It was humorous to me as I know she can’t drive, so it must be false.

Why is buffalo capitalised throughout this post? Seems like a quality issue.
